Lutoya is a clay pot, planted into another pot for plants or flowers. Once filled with water, it irrigates the plants directly at the roots.
Clay is crafted and glazed with passion in Transylvanian villages of Romania. This is where the magic happens and it becomes an amazing beautiful and unique craft object but also the best ally of plants.
Two types of Lutoya exist – the indoor version for the small pots or planters, and the outdoor version for gardens or large planters.
Lutoya takes shape in the hands of local potters from Horezu, Corund, Marginea and other Romanian villages with an ancestral tradition of pottery. The right terracotta is meticulously sourced from rural areas, then delivered to the door of the craftsmen.
We do everything with the good intention of encouraging the local economy, putting the potters in the leading place they deserve and preserving our precious nature and planet.
